Hi Everyone,

Can anyone give me any info about what size suitcase I can take on the train journey. My holiday pack says that the luggage must be put into the overhead rack and this would seem to suggest a carry on size but maybe I've misunderstood. Any advice from anyone who has done this holiday would be helpful. Thanks

Hi

I did that train journey last summer and I can't remember any difficulty with cases. I had the normal size suitcase and I seem to remember our tour manager organized some of the guys to help load them. Enjoy the trip it's really good. Anne

Hi Anne,

Thanks very much for that. What a relief to know I don't have to spend the week trying to live out of a small suitcase! Really looking forward to the holiday, it sounds great.

I did this trip about 3 years ago and took a medium wheelie suitcase.

People on trip helped each other if anyone had any diffuculty get their cases up

You'll have a great time

Hi

I have also done this trip. It is great and you will have a wonderful time.

I took just an ordinary wheeled case and there were no problems, And Yes the men in group are bound to help you if you should need it.

The train journey was during the afternoon and early evening when I went and gave me an insight into the Russian style of travel. There is so much to see and do - a different way of life. The underground stations are amazing too.

Have a great holiday - I know you will - and don't forget your camera.

Be happy,

Best wishes,
