Hi, I am going top CRaotia on the 21st june? Just wondered whether anybody has been before and can tell me which optional excursions are worth it?

Also wondering whether anybody else is going on this date as well? It seems to be very popular.

Hi

Went on this trip earlier in the year and had a great time.

Would certainly recommend the fish picnic, cruise and bbq to Cres, it was a lovely relaxing day and there was a veggie and meat alternative to the fish.

Plitvice lakes is a must, unless you have difficulty walking. An early start and a long day, but stunning.

Trip to Labin and also Istrian discovery were both very good.

Depending on what your interests are you may or may not want to do the trip to Lipica stud farm and Postojna caves. Another long day, we saw only a little bit of the horses being trained. The caves were impressive, tour underground lasted for about an hour.

Didn't do the trip to Venice as it clashed with the lakes, but those who went had a good time despite it being another long day.

Don't forget to take a few Euro's with you, as well as some Kuna. Trips can be booked using credit cards as well as in cash.

Have a great holiday.

Hi Vetty,

Im definitely taking the one to slovenia and plitvice lakes. I did a bit of research on the lakes and it looks stunning and it seems that a fantastic days is to be had by all!

The bbq and slovenia are also a must for me.

I went to paris with just you and it was amazing. I would advise anybody not to worry. We all go to the same places so we are kind of forced to talk to each other anyway but usually the places where we are going are more than interesting enough to spark a conversation.

See you at Stanstead!!!

Don't need to take too many euros as lunch is included on the trip to lipica and the caves. Just take enough for a coffee or an ice cream or two and some for any souvenirs you might want. Bear in mind that the airport is in Slovenia so you won't be able to use up your kuna there & you will stop on the way to and from the airport for a quick break at services in Slovenia. I found 30 euro was more than enough. You can always change currency in Rabac.

Hi,

It was good thanks- 7/10.

The only thing i was disappointed with was the fact that you had to pay for air conditioning in your room and they frown upon using your towels for the beach! Also, they were 2 single beds as opposed to a double bed. Really annoyed me as im 6 foot 4! Croatia is relatively cheap though overall!
