I have not been on any cruises, but have done 6 JY tours with 2 more booked, so I wish you well, and I hope you get the answers you need.

I've heard some good reports of the River Douro cruise, not done it myself but I'm thinking about it for next year. The trip to Salamanca would be one of the highlights for me.

Been on 3 JY holidays with another booked, they are good value. I haven't actually done a cruise holiday but I'm sure they will be just as good as the touring/resort trips.
