[/font]Hi Everyone - I've never travelled alone before and would love to hear from other 50ish year old travellers as to the best places to book. I don't want to be the oldest swinger or the baby of the group! Thanks, Sue

On the 2 trips I did last year the ages among the ladies ranged from late 20's to 70's while men from 40's to 70's. The majority of groups seem to be in their 50's & 60's but all ages seem to be covered.

I'm 53 (just) and have sort of been in the middle but everyone sems to mix whatever the age.

Hi Sue, welcome to the forum.

I wouldn't worry about being the oldest or youngest as most trips have a wide range of ages on them, typically from early 20's to the over 70's, with most falling into the 50's and 60's age group though.

I personally think having a broad range of ages in the group adds to the enjoyment of the trip. For me one of the big plusses of travelling with JY is that age really doesn't matter.

I'd recommend just choosing the holiday you want to go on and don't worry about any age issues. I'm 48 by the way.

Julian 🙂

I have done 6 JY tours going to Tuscany very soon and have NZ booked for 2012, I have been using JY for 4 years and I am 52 ssshhhhhhh don't tell everyone.....I have had some great conversations and day's out with people much older than myself and have also spent time with people younger, I like the varied age range. Great holidays and great groups I have been with.

As for the best places to book just choose a holiday you really fancy going on and book it then you will have that in common with the group. I have done very hectic USA tours and more laid back ones but for different reasons I have enjoyed them all.

Hi everyone. I'm celebrating my 50th later this year and decided to celebrate with a trip to a part of the world I havent yet been to. I've opted for Thailand in 2012. Another first for me will be travelling with Just You. Of course I'm nervous and apprehensive at the same time so any pointers for me would be really appreciated 🙂

Welcome so Thailand with JY, and your 1st time of travelling with JY, so what pointers are you looking for??

I have been useing JY for many years see above posting, all I can say really is they work really well for me, or else I would not keep booking the tours. great mix of people, so tours are much more frantic than others, but then you are seeing and doing so much on the tours, I do not go on a JY tour to sit and relax I want to do and see all I can while I am in that country. The tours are very well organised, and the rep's do all they can to help you have a good holiday from start to finish. I hope you have a great time when you go away, I went to Thailand many, many years ago.
