Hello Hazel,

Booked Lake Garda for 21st June as I want to go to the Opera in Verona. Been reading up on all the trips ie Simione and Tremosine, must touch Juliet's right breast to find your love in Verona and go on a gondola in Venice. Just realised that it is 3 months today(writing this 21st March) woo hoo.

Have fun and hope you enjoy it, I certainly aim to.

Just realised we are going to Sigurta, not Simione. Read another holiday brochure where it was mentioned. Sorry about that.

I went on this tour which included the Verona Opera last summer and had a fantastic time. The Lake Garda excursion on the first day took us to Sirmione on the peninsular at the southern end of the lake, Garda on the east coast and Malcesine before taking the ferry across to Gardone. The Verona Opera was on the free day as it doesn't start until about 9.15 in the evening and probably won't finish before 1am unless it gets rained off. The view from the balcony at Tremosine was spectacular and we stopped at Limone on the way back. I can't say much about the Gardens of Sigurta because I didn't go, as I took myself off to Milan for the day, but they look very nice in the guide.

Hello Hazel

I would certainly go back to Lake Garda, there was never enough time to see everything. This tour is really fantastic and our tour guide was superb.

I will definitely return to Italy. In fact, I am going to Italy for a third time, Sorrento in May following on from Tuscany in 2009 and Lake Garda in 2010.
