thanks for the info sue, did you or anyone on your trip go to alcatraz, if so is it better to book morning or afternoon trip.

8 weeks on monday Donna, not that i'm counting lol

Several on my trip went to Acatraz in the morning. I did the bay trip which goes right up underneath the Golden gate and then around the island of Alcatraz quite close in but does not land,

Donna, Penny i see someone has advised on another thread that it's better to go to alcatraz in the morning (don't know the reason), i'm happy enough to go in the afternoon as long as i know others are going as well, but do you think we should change our booking to the morning.

Need to get ratpack show booked.

Hi All

Just read Dougie's e mail. I have already booked and received my tickets for the afternoon of 17th May and I don't think that you can change the time once you have booked.

I have booked for the afternoon for the following reasons there is a tour included on our first morning 17th, also after a long flight and travelling the day before I throught that would be the best time to book. Please feel free to book when the time and place would be best for you, it is a trip too good to miss whenever anybody goes.

I have now also booked the Rat Pack Trip and Palm Springs trip the same as Penny - booked today.

Hope to hear from you soon with your ideas.

got some dollars today from ICE currency, exchange rate was $1.598, you need to print voucher from there website and take it to shop and you get there best rate. Still looks like monopoly money though lol

I know what you mean about it being monopoly money. I have just got my money from Tesco (where I work), got half in currency and half on a travellers credit card, pre paid in USA dollars.

Not long now.

that's great you work in tesco Donna, you'll be able to advise on what's a good buy in the states compared to uk prices.

that's me past the looking forward to going stage and onto the panicking about whether i've got everything stage.

i've only 12 more working days to go, thanks to all the public holidays 😃
