Hello EBird33

Sorry to hear of your difficulties in walking due to your disability. In this country, because of insurance problems, the coach driver is not officially allowed to help, although most do.

Modern coaches have a hydraulic system that lowers the passenger door to pavement level so that you virtually walk straight on to the coach.

You then just have to get up the interior steps.

If you let JY know that you are disabled they can arrange to let the airline know and the airport will see that you are put on the plane as a priority passenger in your wheelchair. You are the first on the plane and would be seated before other passengers are allowed on. The chair is taken away and put in the hold. You would be the last passenger off the plane.

If you really want to go to China, I am going on 12th Sept 2012, and although I am 72, I would be quite willing to help you as much as I could.

Best wishes

Peter

PS to my previous thread. Make sure that whatever holiday you choose, that the hotel has lifts.

On my Chinese holiday I am also doing the Yangtze add on.
