I have booked the Wonder of China with the Yangtze Gorges cruise add on for September the 27th 2011. I have looked at the hotels mentioned in the brochure online and they are of an excellent standard, all of them getting at least four stars out of five on Tripadvisor.co.uk.

I chose this tour as I have always wanted to see the great wall and Terracotta warriors and after watching Michael Palin In china I added the cruise to my wish list!

All of your meals are included so I am only having to take spending money which is fantastic.

7 months, 26 days to go! - not that I am counting 😃

I am doing this trip on 15th March (but not the add-on). Like Xanthe, I want to see the Terracotta Warriors and Great Wall.

I know there is a lot of travelling involved - but I love that sort of thing. I also know that the tour manager will make sure everything is okay and will look after us all. So all we have to do is turn up and enjoy!

I have even been told that it is possible to send photos from my mobile of the Great Wall - so have decided to do this - how great is that!

If you are not on my trip - and go later - I can let you have some info when I get back if you like. I too have checked out the hotels etc. I also know that we don't need that much money (but I have the shopping gene) so am taking my cards too. Not long to wait now.....

What date have you booked for? I have changed mine to 14th of June as I just couldn't wait until September!

:)Went on this trip last summer you will have a fantastic time,but will be very busy with lots of walking.

I went on this trip last September it was fantastic, you will have a wonderful time. Be prepared to go straight into the tour from leaving the airport but don't be put off by this. Everything is very well organised and you will be surprised at how much can be packed into one day. You will only need spending money as everything else is included in the price, don't take travellers cheques though as a few people that were on the trip last year had problems and were not able to cash them.

I can only say to not hesitate too much this tour had 13 dates last year and sold out. This year has over 20 some sold out and many on limited availability.
