Just returned from this trip to China. Fantastic a real must do holiday. Very full on so need to be fit but fantastic. Some basic info to lighten your packing. Kettles with coffee and Chinese tea in rooms and good hairdryers. All usual toiletries which are quite good. Although most things cheap wine is almost the same price as here and be aware that there is a service charge of almost 15% in the hotels. You can change sterling in the hotels but sometimes they like pristeen notes. If they have any writing on they won't accept them. Tried the ATM but could not get it to work for me even though the manager of the hotel tried and I had notified my bank. Lots of things to buy but remember internal flights is only 20k baggage allowance.
