Thank you for a wonderful trip to Jordan. it was the first time I had been away on my own and I was a little nervous before the trip. However, all my fears about eating on my own, feeling lonely and getting lost were very soon allayed. Everything was so well organised by Brian, and, as everyone was in the same boat, I never once felt lost or lonely.Demetri’s willingness to talk openly about many aspects of the country and people enabled us to understand much more about the culture.A holiday is such a personal choice and experience. Going by myself I had no-one else to worry about. It was sheer bliss and I will not hesitate to journey by myself again – so thank you very much, your have opened up a whole new world.

Thanks Karen

I’ve booked my first singles’ holiday and was scared I’d loose my nerve and bottle out at the last minute. Its really helped hearing that you felt the same, but it was fine once you got started.

Having had a look at a number of solo holiday providers, I took my first 'sole' traveller trip with Just You last year and it was brilliant. Travelling from the North West and not being familiar with Heathrow, transferring from one terminal to another was the first hurdle I had to get over but, in the event, it wasn't a problem. At the Royal Jordanian check in I met up with several other people who were taking the trip to Jordan and, from then, on I never felt alone. We were a party of 28 with Tariq as our Tour Manager and Demitri our Tour Guide - both of whom were absolutely brilliant. The whole trip was really well organised and I came back with memories of a country that is so much more than expected - I had a wonderful time and an added bonus was that I made a number of new friends. We've kept in touch and met up for a weekend in London earlier this year. Never having travelled solo before, I was absolutely petrified - so much so that my son-in-law threatened to throw me on the conveyor belt with my baggage at Manchester Airport! My advice to anyone comtemplating a Just You holiday is 'go for it' - you won't regret it. I'm doing 2 more this year - both from Heathrow!

Really pleased to hear your positive feedback. I am thinking of suggesting that my mum goes on the Jordan holiday, she is an avid traveller and loves to go to the more unusual destinations. Do you have any particular tips? I would like to hear more about the excursion to Petra, it looks fantastic, is the walk fairly easy? What about the heat, any particular time of year better to go?
