Hi

I've just booked for 7th October, but haven't made my mind up yet about the extension. Wonder how many have booked the extra days in Mombasa? This will be my first trip for JustYou so am obviously nervous. I will be travelling National Express from South Wales to Heathrow.

Hi, just a quick question to those that have just come back from this holiday. How long did it approx. take from getting off the plane in Heathrow to collecting your luggage, and if possible getting to the main bus station? Need to book my National Express seat and wondering which time bus to book with, cheers.

Hi everyone going on the 7th October trip. I have now booked the extension as well, so would love to hear from anyone on the same holiday. Especially if it is your first time with Just You, like myself.

Hi Ronnie. Hope your arm is better now. I was nervous when i went on my own first time, but it was fine. A few glass of wine in the lounge and a chance to meet everyone before getting on the plane! Great!

Anybody going on Oct 28 flying from Manchester to Heathrow? Maybe we can arrange to meet up at Manchester?

Hi Paula77

I have never been on a Just You holiday before, but have to say I am impressed already with the Message Board, certainly helps to 'break the ice' doesn't it. I did a holiday to South Africa with Saga last year, first solo holiday but found I was with groups and wanted to be with other single travellers. Just You was recommended so here I am, booked and waiting for October.

Hi Steve

Yes I am flying from Manchester down to Heathrow and was just awaiting confirmed flight times before I booked it. Would be happy to meet up to travel down together.

Hi KaziDon

That would be great. Once the flight times are confirmed maybe we can arrange to book the same flight and meet up at Manchester.

I've just come back from this same trip that ran from 29th April. It was fantastic. I used Malarone Malaria tablets and ordered them online from Stratford Pharmacy for around £40 (still need prescription). Some other advice - the Ashnil Aruba Lodge doesn't accept travellers cheques so best to have Kenyan shillings. You can get travellers cheques changed at Mombassa but hotel wanted to see your receipt for purchasing so take it with you. You'll have a fantastic time.

Our courier accepted travellers cheques (either sterling or dollars) or cash (sterling or shillings)as payment. We couldn't pay by credit card. I took dollars in travellers cheques and cash as well as shillings as that was the advice. I wouldn't bother with dollars in cash as I ended up changing these to shillings. others took sterling travellers cheques. There is a bank with ATM within 5 mins walk of the Travellers Beach hotel in Mombasa.

Hi

A friend of mine says to take my walking boots on holiday.

I am a bit loathe to do this, as they will weigh heavier than shoes.

Did you need jungle boots ? I would have thought there would not be much walking out in the bush !

Any packing tips ! Trying to keep it down, and not take too much. Am going o n 24.6.09.
