hi Darren,

Hi Tori

I assume your talking about the Grand Canyon Helicopter tours.

There was no limit to the tours. If all 40 in my tour group wanted to do the same thing it was no problem.

We had to decide within the first couple of days of the holiday which tour we wanted to do.The good thing is you dont pay for the Helicopter tours till the morning you get to the small airport that they take you to.

The other good thing is you can pay by card, all the other optional excursions you have to pay cash.

You will need to know how much you weigh! This is important because of the little planes and helicopters you use have to have the right balance? All to do with fuel consumption or something too. They will weigh you at the airport as well.

During the whole holiday there is plenty of wind down time. We got to the hotel in San Francisco about 3.30pm the day we got there and the rest of the day and night to ourselves to climatise.

There arent really any early starts. We were never rushed even though theres a lot to fit in.

You will love it I promise you!

Anything else you want to know dont hesitate to ask.

Best wishes

Darren

Hi Darren

Have noticed that previous messages from the Sept tour have mentioned booking for Alcatraz before going. Can you leave this until you get to the US? Sorry to pick your brains and by the way I am one of the earlier entries so you might not have seen my name.

Regards Jenny

Can anyone tell me whether US hotels provide tea/coffee making trays. I do like a quiet cuppa sometimes, particularly first thing in the morning. I know the voltage is 110 so require dual voltage if taking. Only 4 weeks to go now !!

Hi Mike

As I have said previously I have been on this tour before.

All the places I stayed in had coffee making facilities in the rooms apart from the Stratosphere in Las Vegas.

English tea is in very short supply though.

Hope this helps.

Not long now, cant wait

Regards

Darren

Hi Mike

Have been to the States many times and have only ever had a coffee machine in your room and to be honest the water is not hot enough to make a good English cup of tea. If you have a travelling kettle and a good cup of tea is nectar to you I would suggest putting it in your case on the off chance that things have not changed.

Hi everyone

3 weeks and counting! Really excited but still a little nervous. I have copied the group going on 14th September and booked Alcatraz tickets for 1.10pm on 6th Oct. I do have an extra e-ticket if anyone is interested? Also if we are staying at the same hotels as that trip, check out their message board for the hotel web-sites. Look forward to meeting you all.

See you soon

Hi Toni

Have just read on the September tour messages that it could be cool in San Francisco so you should pack a fleece but after that t-shirts and shorts and comphy shoes. 3 weeks to go see you at Heathrow.

Hello everyone

Two weeks to go, cannot wait. This will be my first holiday with JY. I am making my own way to San Francisco, leaving within 30 mins of the Heathrow flight - is anyone else travelling separately?

Hi

I am from the Isle of Man and flying out of Manchester so have to stay overnight on Sunday at the Airport Hotel - is there anyone else doing this? If so we could meet up on Sun evening for a pre holiday drink.
