Hello Anne,
the journey to Australia is quite the undertaking, but I believe you just have to get into the right mindset.
I did it way back in 2004 and I'd been advised by a colleague to try and stay up for as long as possible once you arrive at around 7am. and don't be tempted into having a quick snooze !
When I got to the hotel I was raring to go and was very quickly out exploring. Getting through to 10pm ish was no problem at all and when I woke up the next morning I was acclimatised !
Admittedly, the return trip was a bit of a struggle. The Adrenalin, sense of excitement and adventure wasn't there anymore, but the choice was return or emigrate .. π€£
Very interesting to read your post Rose.
Just the 375 days to go before the Italian Adventure ! I'm still awaiting a response from JY re numbers now that it's sold out.
I'm seriously cosidering the Aus/NZ combo trip in Jan '26 !
I've always wanted to go back to Oz to visit Uluru. Was booked up to go in '22, but it was cancelled due to still in place covid restrictions. NZ has always been high on the wish list too.
'25 is out due to trips to Tanzania/Zanzibar and Italy + a very tempting Namibia trip in June !
Pleased to see you enjoyed your Andalucia holiday π
Kind regards,
Roger
