Hello, since there were no available holidays to Madeira from Edinburgh, I'm traveling to Heathrow on the 8th and will stay overnight at the Thistle Hotel. In the morning, I'll use the POD to reach Terminal 5. It's been many years since I last visited Heathrow, and I'm slightly daunted by the prospect.

A few years back, I've visited Porto Sando, one of the islands in Madeira, and wow! Those beaches are unreal - total hidden gems. The water is perfect for chilling and soaking up the sun. Heads up though, Madeira's weather can be a bit of a wild card compared to the rest of Portugal.  It can change quickly, so pack some layers and maybe some rain gear, just in case it gets chilly or unexpected showers roll in.
