Hello, could anyone who has been on this trip tell me what sort of food is available? I don't eat meat. I'm fine with everything else including fish.  I'm going on the May tour this year.  Cant wait!! ???

Hi

I went on this tour last May and worry not there is plenty of vegetarian food available including fish, i'm the opposite to you and only eat meat dishes mainly but there is lots and lots of choices and tended to be a turn table thing in the centre of the table for you to help yourself to, the loges were buffet style so you go up and take whatever takes your fancy, i'm sure you'll love the food in Borneo

all the best

Hi Bridget Jane

You'll have a fantastic time.I went there in November. There is plenty of fish and variety of veg dishes. Try going to the harbour front and eat the local food in the cities. It was amazing.

I avoid meat too and had no probs on the Borneo tour, plenty of fish and chicken, in fact the food was very good overall.  At one of the lodges there were tempura prawns, fresh and delicious, will never forget them.  There were 3 vegetarians and on May trip and they were given special meals.  There are some dinners not included so people just either ate at the hotel or went out to a restaurant, both had normal menus and were cheap.  Fruit was whatever was in season, pineapple and papaya in May and most people ate the salads.  Don't worry you wont go hungry!

Hiya Bridget

I can't believe it's almost a year since you first said you were going to Borneo. It sounds like you are going to have plenty of food options though - so hopefully you won't have to take your shotgun with you 😉 😉 ;)

Hope you are keeping well - two of your fellow 'Retail Therapists' will be going large in the US National Parks in September, and I suspect that at least one of them, who is currently in Canada on the Winter Rockies Spectacular, will be carrying a box of Persil !!

All the best

Well hello Mandy!! Hope life is treating you well! Doesn't the time fly by. I've been watching all the wonderful pictures our mutual friend has been posting on Face Book from Canada. It looks amazing but very cold ❄️?☃️!!! I must say I'm going to have to live to a very old age and keep very fit to fit in all the trips I want to do.  Hopefully our paths will cross on one of them soon.

keep well,love

Bridget
