I was reading some old reviews and noticed that travellers were mentioning about the late (6pm) boarding time on arrival, and having to hang around in Bordeaux for a few hours with nothing to do.

Was this problem ever solved please?

I've picked this up with the holiday creator who has advised that yes, this feedback has been taken on board and that they are reviewing options on filling this time in upcoming itineraries.

                  I did this tour August last year. There were six of us. Four flew from Birmingham and two I think Stansted. Our tour manger flew with us from Birmingham. We we got to Bordeaux we dropped our cases at the boat. Anne Marie our tour manager was excellent. We went to a restaurant she knew and had a meal. Then she took us on a walk about Bordeaux showing us part we would not see on organise Bordeaux walk. The two who flew from Stansted went straight to the boat.
