Hi,

Can you please answer my questions about the visa for China:

Do I have to sort this out myself or is this something that Just You will do on my behalf?

If I have to do it myself what is the procedure? Is it a case of applying on the internet or would I have to go to the Chinese Embassy? And how soon should I be sorting it out? My trip is booked for mid October.

Kind Regards

Nicola.

Hi Nicola,

Apologies for the delay. You can either apply for the visa yourself, or we have an in-house visa team who can do it for you. The process is:

• In house application form sent to customers 10 weeks before departure (£25 from 1st June, free if booked before)

• We complete your online application using the info provided & return with notes of how to go online & book an appointment at their nearest application centre (London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Belfast

• Customer must go in person to lodge their application, if under 70 must have finger prints taken.

• Must leave passport with embassy for 4 working days

• Can collect passport or have it returned by post for £24 per person

I hope this helps.

Many thanks,

Vickie

Hello Vickie,

Depends on your age. If, like me you are over 70, you do not have to attend in person as there is no requirement to have your fingerprints taken. Your details do have to be handed in in person however. I googled "visa agents" and used one who did it all for me. Very quick and probably not too expensive when I factored in train fares and standard fees.
