Hi Vicky

I'm interested in the Tintoreras optional excursion on the Galapagos trip but I'm not a strong swimmer and don't want to hold the rest of the group back.

Could you advise if this will be a shallow water snorkel or out into deeper open water (as I suspect the second optional excursion is)? Would it be possible to book the trip but just stay on dry land while the rest of the group take the plunge? I like the sound of the boat trip and the hike etc.

Many thanks

Mandy

P.S Great news that my earlier special TM request has been granted - thank you for putting a word in for us 😃

Hi Mandy,

The Tintoreras is definitely the best option for you out of the two excursions. You'll be snorkelling in calm waters only in the bay area and the trip includes a hike and a boat trip as well, so you'll spend less time snorkelling than the other trip.

Also, you of course wouldn't have to snorkel if you would prefer not to, so please don't worry! 🙂

And no problem at all!

Thanks,

Vickie

Hi Mandy

I have never snorkelled but am going to book Tintoreras because even if I do not decide to try snorkelling I am interested in the boat ride and the hike. Will be paying the balance next week and will book the excursion at the same time. Am counting the days...!

Mandy - Well done for raising this with JY.

Vickie - I haven't decided whether I am doing any snorkelling yet as have a bit of a phobia with water! The holiday information states that you can book these in advance or with the TM or Local Guide on arrival. Can you advise what currency would be required to make payment in resort? And, is this guaranteed to be an option as my previous USA trip was a disaster when wanting to pay for optional excursions through TM.

Thanks

Sylvia

Hi Sylvia,

The currency is US dollars and you will be able to book in advance, or on arrival with a tour guide.

Yes there should be no issues with paying while you're there as our TMs and local guides are aware that excursions may be booked in resort. I will pass this to our Tour Manager team just to further confirm.

Many thanks,

Vickie

Hi, I am on the May date as the March date was fully booked. I was also wondering if it was worth doing either of the snorkeling options without snorkeling as I don't swim.

Hi Sylvia

I have booked Tintoreras because even if I am not brave enough to snorkel, there is a boat trip and a hike, the sound of which I like. Not long to go now.

Hi Vickie

I was looking at the itinerary on the Website and see that Just You have already changed a couple of hotels. Is this for all the dates or only for the tours departing after 11 March 2019?

Kind regards

Jaya

Hi All

I'm warming towards the Tintorera snorkel as it does other things too. I'm sure our TM Patrick will look after us and encourage us to do the other one which we might want to do!

See Mandy and Jaya soon.

Regards

Sylvia

I booked the Tintoreras snorkelling yesterday and my emailed confirmation had the new hotel details, or at least I assume they are as they differ from the ones originally listed.
