Hello, I'm new to this.  Please can you give me a rough idea of how much money to take to Thailand?  Also how many people are booked on this trip?  Thanks.  Debs

Good Morning Debs,

I would recommend that you bring more money than you need.

I can tell you that 32 travellers are booked to go on this holiday. 6 are male and 26 are female. The ages range between mid 40s - mid 80s.

Kind Regards,

Amy

Hello thanks re group size but your answer re money doesn't help me.  I don't know about the cost of living in Thailand and need advice re how much money to take - ie how much will I need each day for food etc.

Thanks

Good Afternoon Debs144,

I would recommend that you bring about $55 USD with you which should cover food, drinks, transport, etc.

Thanks Amy.  That helps (except that the link is from 2012! so is probably not up to date)  - do you advise taking US dollars then, rather than sterling?

Good Afternoon Debs,

I would advise that you take sterling with you.

Please see the below link for what other travellers have also said:

Thanks Amy.  Would there be any reason not to take Thai currency?  I've just checked with the Post Office and I can order Baht.

Good Afternoon Debs,

Yes you can also take Thai currency with you, and order the Thai Baht at the Post Office.

$55 is well less than £50 surely not enough cash for nearly 2 weeks.

Good Afternoon SarahS,

Sorry I probably should have specified that this would be $55 per day (as shown in the article that I attached).

Kind Regards,

Amy

That was per day, not for the whole trip.

Are malaria tablets recommended for this trip?

Thanks

Good Afternoon Debs,

It is not necessary to bring malaria tablets with you for your trip. All I would advise is that you bring a mosquito repellent with you.
