2. Also, I really want to add a week or more to see a bit of Portugal: Lisbon and the Quarteira/Algarve area in particular. Can you recommend some very good hotels to stay in that area?   

Lastly, am concerned about making my flight and hotel bookings until this trip is confirmed but am noticing hotels in Portugal are filling up quickly while web searching.  When will the tour dates from June 13-20 be confirmed?

If you booked with the Canadian office (I think maybe through Florida office) Discover the world they would have to do it for you as we only do people that live in the UK.

It is difficult to say when exactly the tour will be given the go ahead as it is all dependent on how many travellers book the tour but in the unfortunate event that we are forced to cancel a tour, we will do so before the date that your balance payment is due.

It is still very early to tell.
