Iam thinking about booking the Japan holiday. You mention travelling by bullet train in some instances. Where you mention no form of transport presumably this is by coach? I am not keen on cable cars but your  day 4 description makes it sound as if this is part of the schedule. Presumably there is an an alternative?

The majority of overseas transfers are by coach or minibus depending on the size of the group unless otherwise stated in the itinerary.

In terms of Day 4, the cable car is part of the visit to Komagatake Summit, If you do not wish to take the cable car to the summit, you will be able to take a walk around Ashi Lake, we would ask that you advise the Tour Manager of your plans so they are aware that you wouldn't be going up.

Hello Gill

I was in Japan last November and  took the cable car ("Ropeway" in Japan) to the summit of Mt Komagatake: it is a short and very easy ride and well worth making, as the views across Lake Ashi in one direction and the Pacific in the other are wonderful. There is also a very good view of Mount Fuji, as I recall, especially on a clear day.
