I am new & a first timer to Just You. 

Does it matter what age group? I'm 23.

And I'm looking to go on the Highlight of Tuscany holiday in June.

Advice would be appreciated.

Depending on which date you would like to travel with us, the youngest person in the group at the moment is in the mid-40's. Our Italy tours do usually have a higher average age, but don't let this put you off. I have spoken to plenty of people in the past who have said they do not find the age difference a problem - you'll have a smashing time no matter what age you are.

Please do not let age put you off this trip...if you are going onthis for what you want to see,then please do so, I did this tour a few years ago and there is lots to see and do with out it being to hectic, yes you might be the youngest, but it's a great tour...

I have been on a number of trips and the ages have ranged from 20's to 80's but everyone mixes well as they all want to experience new adventures. I was on one trip to the US parks and a lady of about 30 was so worried she would be the youngest and feel left out on her first trip and she kept voicing her concerns on this site. Well she was the youngest and after two days of the trip she said she felt foolish for worrying and at the end of the tour she said it was the best holiday she had ever been on.

So if Tuscany is a trip you would like to do then go for it and you won't be disappointed.

I'm on a different tour, but I'm still in my 30s. So it's not all over 40s on these tours.

My experience is that having a slightly older group usually means fewer problems with people drinking too much, or coaches being held up because people over slept.

I am 29 and i have been using JY since i was 21. Although normally the other members of the group would be older it has never mattered as you are all there to have a good time.

Age is just a number so don't let the worry of it put you off travelling with Just You. Give it a try.

My general experience is that the age range can be very wide - anything within 18 to 80+  It generally doesn't matter what your age is as everyone just seems to get along with everyone else well enough.  It's the sharing of the same experience that draws people together.

Which dates are your holiday and which airport are you flying from?  I'm wondering whether there's anyone else leaving on 2nd June and flying from Manchester.

I read a post recently where the person said they did not get to meet the rep until they got to Dubrovnik airport.   Can you reassure me that there will be someone from JY at Gatwick as I am not sure about checking luggage in

etc.

We do have airport representatives at all UK airports and you'll find them walking around the check in area. They should be carrying a grey/silver clipboard with Just You on the back. If you can't see them straight away - not to worry, they may be helping one of your fellow travellers to check in.

I always recommend that you use the Just You luggage labels that are sent with your final documents - this helps our representatives to keep an eye out for you. The labels are also handy for your fellow travellers to spot you too.

That may have been my post that you read about no rep at the airport when I flew to Dubrovnik.  If so, may I apologise as I flew from East Midlands, was ridiculously early at the baggage drop off, and the JY rep may not have been there yet. 

I have always found J.Y reps to help at both Gatwick and Heathrow, so don't worry.  If by any chance you don't see anyone when you arrive (and I think that you are flying EasyJet?), there is always someone from their company who will help you.  I hope that helps. 

It may also help if you put a post later on, on the "Say Hello to Single Travellers" thread to see if there is anyone else on the forum, travelling from Gatwick, on your date.  It doesn't always help, as not everyone uses the forum, but there may be someone who you can get in contact with prior to your departure date, so you may be able to meet up with them at Departures. 

I have also found, if it is an airport that you don't know, that reading up about it first online may help.  Gatwick is actually a fairly easy airport to find your way around, unlike Heathrow. 

I don't know whether you will have a Local Tour Manager (Julia or Monty will be able to let you know nearer to the departure date), in which case you will not meet them until Dubrovnik, but if you have a British Tour Manager, I would imagine that they will be flying with you from Gatwick.

I was on this trip on the 1st May trip to Dubrovnik. It was a fantastic holiday and you are in for a real treat.

My flight from Gatwick was at 05:55, I got to the airport around 3:15 and the JY Representative was there already!!! She recognised me from my JY label and came to help me check in my luggage. I then went to have a coffee and a couple of ladies recognised me by my JY label and asked me to join them... so before I even got on the airplane I had made friends.

Im on the November Borneo trip. Could you tell me the make up of the group please and how many are having the Singapore add-on. Also as Im not planning on having the add-on there is a long delay between flights from Borneo to Singapore to London is there any add-on trip that can be planned to pass the day?

There are 19 travellers booked on the 17th November departure 13 of the group are taking the main tour only with 6 of the group staying for the Singapore add-on. the group is made up of 13 women and 6 men with ages from mid-40s through to early-80s.

I have spoken to a colleague about the time you are transiting in Singapore. Currently Just You don't offer any trips but I have been told that subject to your flight times, you may have time to explore the city on your own and the Tour Manager should be able to advise you. Alternatively, the airport offer a free city explorer service (depending on times) which you may be able to take.

Age doesn't matter, I was 19 on my first JY holiday to Kenya and now 25, I've been on 5 just you holidays and about to book another:) yes I'm always the youngest but I don't care and neither does anyone else, your just there to have a good time with like minded people and half the time I forget there's an age difference. Hope this helps

I hadn't realised until I read your post that we could get more information about the make up of the group.  I have just booked my first just you holiday to Malta on 26 Sep 2017.  I notice that there is only one place left on this trip so as it is almost full are you able to let me know how many are in the group, male/female mix, age ranges and anyone flying from Gatwick.....  or whatever information you can share.
