Marking Posts in Forum As Read · Just You Community

This isn't a comment about a holiday but I wondered if you can help me please. I read all the posts on each forum and would like to mark that forum as read, but when I press the column Mark Forum as Read when I go back in that particular forum all the comments that I have still read are in Bold still and havent been marked as Read, can you explain what I might be doing wrong....thanks Sue

Hi suer,

This is something that occurred when updating the community and unfortunately we are not too sure why it's happening. Apologies for the inconvenience, we are working on fixing this but you may have to bare with us.

For what it is worth I never used to bother, but have just tried it and it worked fine. I am using a Mac with Firefox if that helps the team.

If you click on the 'back' button then it will not be marked as read and will still show in bold. But if you click on the header (Ask Your Editor, Reviews etc) then it will show as read.

When I try both ways, it still doesn't help, it stays bold. Maybe its because Im trying to open the forum from my mobile

yes i found that out don't use the back button, after i have finished browsing i make sure i open the top post so that it shows as read and i can easily pick up on any new posts

I'll confirm that. Clicking the back button does not register that you have read the post. You need to either click on Community or Today's posts. If you do this the posts you have read will fade, which signifies as read.

I have tried both ways and its still not working. Only way I can get it to change from Bold to note is to click on each comment.....

Hi Sue

There must be something wrong. I use the laptop and do not have this problem. Perhaps someone accessing the Forum from a mobile might be able to solve this problem.
