Hi

I wonder if you could assist please. I am considering booking the Spirit of India tour for April 2016 and have discovered that the itinerary in your PDF brochure and the itinerary on your web page are different.

Specifically days 4, 5 & 6

The Brochure has the sequence

Day 4 Jaipur. Day 5 Ranthambore. Day 6 Ranthambore

This agrees with the map supplied.

However the web site sequence and associated text overview is

Day 4 Drive to Ranthambore. Day 5 Jaipur Day 6 Jaipur

Due to the geographical locations, this is a reverse journey in the wrong direction. I am guessing that the website sequence is incorrect and the brochure has the correct sequence.

Could you please investigate and confirm with me.

I have also sent two messages regarding the Indian Visa situation, but as of yet have received no reply.

Thank you Graham Williams

Hi Graham,

Thank you for alerting this to us. I have spoken to the product manager and they confirm that the brochure is correct for April 2016!

The website itinerary is correct for the 8th February 2016 departure ONLY as we had to change order to get availability at the hotels. The brochure is correct for all other dates so it just depends on which date you wish to travel. We will be changing the itinerary on the website very soon.

Kindest regards,

Monty

Thank you very much for your reply Monty. I'm glad to hear this result.

It has also come to my attention that your sister company Travelsphere will be using Virgin for flights to India in 2016. Is it likely that Just You will also be using Virgin rather than Jet Airways next year?

Thank you Graham W

Hi Graham,

We’re currently reviewing all air aspects for India and this may mean a change from Jet to another. 2016 will be confirmed in terms of Indian air provision over the next few weeks.

Kindest regards,

Monty

Hi Monty

May I clarify 8th Feb the itinerary should be

Day 4 Jaipur. Day 5 Ranthambore. Day 6 Ranthambore ? Have I read the string correctly?

Hi Alex,

No that is for every departure apart from the 8th February. The 8th February itinerary is as below:

- Day 4: Ranthambore

- Day 5: Jaipur

- Day 6: Jaipur

Hi, thank you pointing out the changes in the Itinerary for 8th Feb. Although I was told at time of booking, I did not appreciate to distance between Delhi and Ranthambore, 369km according to google. Google estimates the journey by road is 7 hours (without comfort breaks?) A long day.

Hope our crowd have some good jokes and stories to pass the time.

Hi Jean

I'm on the 8Feb trip.

I still cant lock down the actual itinerary, which day we are staying where

Have you been told?

Monty

Can you tell me, are we still getting 2 nights at Ranthambore?

One lady I spoke to in customer services said

Days 4&5 Ranthambore

Day 6 Jaipur

Hi Alex,

You are getting two nights in Jaipur instead. The 8th February itinerary is as below:

- Day 4: Ranthambore

- Day 5: Jaipur

- Day 6: Jaipur

This itinerary is for the 8th February departure ONLY, and you would get two nights in Ranthambore if you were on any another departure.

I hope this helps.

Kindest Regards,

Monty

Hi Alex,

I was just told Jaipur and Ranthambore had been switched round. It was only from the forum I discovered we are only having one night at Ranthambore. Even today, when I received a revised invoice, it still had the original itinerary. But hey, we are going on an adventure so we will just go with the flow. I just hope we get there in time for the last game drive at 6pm otherwise it really will be a let down.

Hi Monty,

Does that mean we can change our departure?

Hi Alex and Jean,

I have passed these comments/issues on to another member of the JY team, and I will let you know the outcome as soon as possible. You should have received this change of itinerary in May, but we are looking into this for you.

Kindest regards,

Monty

Hi Alex, this is my first JY holiday but I have been on holiday by myself with other tour operators. I decided to go to India with JY rather than any other company because the itinerary seems to strike the right balance. The final deciding point was the visa issue as I was hovering between JY and another operator who I had traveled with before. JY will, for a small cost will do it for me, the other company didn't. I am looking forward to hear how the groups before us get on with the new e-visa. Oh, and the other company did not have a forum - I am finding it very useful.

Look forward to meeting you.

Hi J

This is my first ever holiday alone and my first ever escorted tour- India has been on my "wish list" as we get Tiger safari and after reading other peoples reviews and the friendly welcome I've received when I asked a few question- I decided to book it. I will be travelling out 24hr in advance as I am meeting u with a friend in Delhi, So i guess I'll see you at the Hotel;

So exciting.

Alex
