I'm looking for a nice short holiday for late spring/early summer next year and after reading reviews and checking out what was said about the hotel on TripAdvisor, I decided Calabria would fit the bill nicely. However, I have now found a post by you where you say there will be changes to this holiday next year. Can I ask, will JY be changing the hotel?

The Grand Hotel San Michele gets such good reviews, which was partly what swayed me towards this holiday, I not sure if a change of hotel will have the same appeal to me, I would hate to be disappointed if the hotel was not equally as good, would maybe have to change to plan B.

Hi Avocet, we won't be changing the hotel or itinerary for 2016. The only change will be that flights will be in to Lamezia Terme (Calabria) rather than Naples, which will mean a shorter transfer time.

If I remember originally when the holiday first came on JY I was going to book and then Monarch pulled out of Lamezia 9if I remember rightly) This doubled the transfer time.

Good to know that the hotel and itinerary is not being changed.

I am glad that you are not changing this "Secret Gem" of a hotel.

The change of airport is going to halve the transfer time.

I hope to return to Calabria one day.

Excellent I can look forward to booking this holiday next year I took it off the list because of the travel time from airport to resort. Please include Romania, Le Marche and Geneva/Lake Annecy in next year's brochure.

At the moment it's a tightly guarded secret, as the team are still working on this tour for 2016 the tour has not yet been loaded into the system. Ask me again and I'll have another quiet word with our aviation team to see if I can squeeze some more information out of them.

Understood Julia, but the main thing is the hotel isn't changed. Calabria was my first visit to Italy and I quite enjoyed the drive down from Naples.
