Have you ever thought about doing Battlefield Tours, I don't know how much interest there would be, but there are more and more people now researching their family trees. I've booked a Battlefield Tour next year with a specialist company, as I want to pay my respects to my Great Uncle who was killed in 1914 I thought that with the Centenary of the 1st World War and the associated Battles that there might be some interest.

Hi Kerry,

I think Cindy (Nixon) suggested something similar a few months ago and it is something that Will and his team are looking into. They aren't sure how likely it is, but there is a possibility.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Yes it was ME!..... As there is nothing in the NEW brochure I took it that It hadn't been put through ....I personally thought with it being a big anniversary NEXT year It might of been taken up... But I do appreciate that there are very good tour operators that specialise in this sort of tour.

My grandad was in WW1 and my father in WW2. Thank god the both survived...

Sorry hadn't realised you had already asked about this, glad your father and grandfather survived, both my grandfather and father survived WW1 & WW2 respectively, but 2 of my great uncles didn't.

Hi I've no interest in these tours, but I did notice a couple of ones in the new Travelsphere brochure if you're interested...

Hi Julia, As a history buff, I would like to add my support for the idea of battlefield tours. In addition to the WW1 battlefields, perhaps you could consider a tour taking in the Normandy beaches. There is also a big anniversary in 2015 (200yrs) of Waterloo in Belgium, so maybe that could be incorporated. Finally, having thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Little Big Horn earlier this year as part of your wonderful USA National Parks tour, would there be a possibility of putting together a tour which included the Gettysburg battlefield where Lincoln made his famous address in 1863?

All food for thought

Cheers

Mike

Hi,

I have also suggested Battlefield Tours, specifically the American Civil War battlefields.

I will check out what Travelsphere is offering.

Hi, just wanted to chip in and say I would be very interested in East Coast US tour that included historical sites (including battlefields).

Yes. I was interested in the thought of a Civil War one too. I've already done Gettysburg but would love to go back.
