Hello, I am wondering if anyone could please offer any advice on the following? On Day 4, the full day excursion to Florence, I am wondering as to whether it would be feasible for me to visit the Uffizi and / or Accademia Art Galleries. If so, most websites and tourist guides seem to recommend purchasing an advanced ticket online to help spend less time in queues. However, I would be required to choose an entrance time (plus pay a booking fee), which seems a little risky when I don't know which hours of the day would be designated as "free time" in Florence. Heeeellllllpppp!

Also, I think that I have read somewhere that there is a "dress code" for places of worship in Italy, in that gentlemen must also cover their forearms? This may well influence which clothes I pack!

Any words of advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks in anticipation!

Hi Steve1973,

Generally the Tour Manager will aim to start free time about 12, and you’ll meet back on the coach around 4. I understand that a lot of people manage to visit the galleries and they are about a 15 min walk from each other.

In terms of the dress code, you'll need to wear clothes that cover your shoulders and your knees.

Kindest regards,

Tim
