PS it is very nice to see the Costa Rica/Nicaragua dates for 2014 in the brochure, somehow it makes it more real than just seeing them on the website! No dates for Egypt, Kerala, Hawaii or the Cambodia/Mekong for 2014 though (maybe in the Sept brochure..?). We'll have to wait and see!

Received my new brochure in the post this morning.

Unfortunately was disappointed that the " Canadian Rockies & Vancover" holiday now does not include the Rocky Mountaineer train journey from Banff to Vancover and is now done by road.

Looks like I will have to look at travelsphere now or specialist company who do rail type of holidays.

JY did both - by road and Rocky Mountaineer until a couple of years ago. I do remember the RM rail version being around £1,000 more expensive so I'm not surprised JY dropped it. Travelsphere still do the Rocky Mountaineer and the Alaskan cruise in various combinations, so I'd suggest you look at their website for various options.

I've been over and chatted to the guy who does the data selection for our emails and when I mentioned your name he held his head in shame.

As you are aware, since we have historically had some issues mailing you, we have created a work-around to try and beat the system. Unfortunately when our email list was complied it used the original database which says you weren't on the mailing list and that we needed to let you know.

You could always request a third and get a collection going!

The poor bloke! Tell him I don't mind one bit, better to get it a couple of times (or even the offer of a third copy for my collection) than not at all! I'm going to give my second copy to a lady I know who has travelled with the opposition (the company that shall not be named) and try to convert her to the delights of JY!
