Good morning Ben
Yesterday was cold and miserable and I found I had a bit of spare time on my hands so I decided I would take a good look at the JY website, something I don't normally have time to do, I usually just click onto Your Community, give the titles a quick scan and only read something that I think might be of interest to me, but I actually looked at all the information. I know its only a big print version of the small print in the back of the brochures but I found it so much easier to read although, when it comes to it I only look at the holidays themselves in the brochure. It also made me realize that I am not the only one who doesn't read the website properly as the 'age' question is always popping up on the Community and the answer to that is in the FAQs under Customer Support along with other frequently asked questions.
Anyway, it was as I was browsing the one off holidays to see if any had been marked up as sold out or had a limited amount of places left (yes I know its early days yet) I noticed that Kerala has been given a 2nd departure date. When did this come about?
I sometimes doubt myself questioning things as I think I must have skipped over information somewhere along the line and the answer is staring me in the face and I'm just not seeing it.
Could JY not find space for an Editors News Bulletin so we can all be kept up to speed at a glance? Things like:-
New dates being added to holidays.
Informing us when things like new mini brochures or leaflets have been printed. It is quite obvious from recent comments that there are a few of us who are not on the JY mailing list in spite of repeatedly requesting new brochures when they come out.
Letting us know in advance if a holiday is due to be dropped from the following years brochure rather than having to discover it for ourselves when the new brochure comes out in September, that way it would give us a fighting chance to book it before it disappears.
These are only little bits of information but they are of interest to the customer and I am sure there are other news items that could be added to the list. I would like to see somewhere on the JY website where we can find out up to date information about happenings and decisions rather than just come across them by chance.
Remember the JY motto "We are listening to you", so how about it! You may know whats going on but we don't unless you tell us.
Kind regards
