Hi - I have two questions regarding my forthcoming holiday. I'm going on the South Africa Explorer from 28th September.

1) I've heard that there is a limit on how much money you can take into SA - could you let me know what this is and what's the best currency to take?

2) What is the luggage allowance and are there any restrictions on size of suit case given that we will be travelling around quite a bit.

Thank you.

Anita

Hi Anita

You can take up to 5,000 rand in cash (about £460) plus an unlimited amount of travellers' cheques or foreign currency (eg Sterling).

The luggage allowance is 20kg for hold luggage and 8kg for hand luggage. There are no rules on the dimension of your suitcase so a normal case should be fine as long as it is within the weight limit.

Have a great trip.

Kind regards,
