I have temporarily booked this holiday for September after I was told that the hotel is the Sithonia at the resort. Do you know whether its near any villages or do you have to take transport to get there, as it doesnt mention it on any of the websites I have looked at ? Just wondered what was nearby the hotel other than the marina and beach. Also, the gym that is in the hotel, do you know whether that costs anything?

The hotel is only about a mile from Neos Marmaras, so you can walk there in no more than half an hour. You should find some nice bars and restaurants there if you fancy a change from the hotel.

Thanks Olly, all booked now, it looks lovely hotel, I will definitely use the gym whilst I am there. I have though looked at various comments about this hotel on various websites and they say that there is nothing nr the hotel, but I guess a half an hour walk nearby would be okay. I am really looking forward to a break

I agree a half hour walk isn't too bad. You could always get a taxi on some days - and you might find others want to share the cost with you.

Im a regular gym person at home, but will probably only go if the weather isnt that good. I hope they dont charge you to go into it. Otherwise I shall be sunbathing like the rest of them

Yes, that is a high ratio of women to men. As you may know, it is usually more like two or three to one.

Yes, most of our customers are in their 50s and 60s. You will probably meet a fair few who are older or younger but the majority are likely to be in that age group.
