Regarding the Wonders of China trip 1st Sept.

Could you tell me if there are any contingency plans to cope with the massive traffic jams currently affecting all routes in and out of Beijing ? We are due to return to Beijing from Chengede by road on day 7 of the tour.

Also how affected are the local trips around Beijing ?

There is still a bit of time to go but if the monster traffic jam is still in placee we will of course do everything we can to minimise the inconvenience - using alternative routes and so on. So please don't worry - you won't miss out on anything.

China does have some problems with traffic because its economy is developing so fast. There are are now more vehicles than their road system can cope with, on occasion.
