Hello

I’m new to JY and have just made my first booking

I’m going on the Spirit of India trip on 19th November 2018 - is anyone going on this trip?

Or has anyone been on this trip and can share any info/hints

Thanks

Hi

I think it states that someone from JY meets you at the airport as well

Hi Tracey....I’ve booked as well for 19th November. I’ve been on a Just You holiday to South Africa and really enjoyed it. I’m also flying through Heathrow. They give you a meeting place before departures which is helpful. I’ve never been to India so really looking forward to it. Chat soon

Hi,

If you go up to the Search button (top right hand corner) and put in Spirit of India and Reviews, you will find a wealth of information!

I am going back to India for the 5th time next year (not with JY) as it is such an incredible country. Be prepared on this tour for very early starts (6 a.m is a "lie in") and sights and sounds that will remain with you for ever! My highlights were the Taj, seeing tigers on all my game drives, and Varanasi (I took 500 photographs just on that morning's dawn boat trip!). You either love India or hate it - there is no in-between!

Make sure you take a comprehensive first-aid kit, including re-hydration salts, imodium, anti-bacterial wipes etc. etc.

Enjoy!

Cheers,

Hils

Hi Hils

I too love India and am curious and interested to know what area you are visiting. I have been watching the recent "Marigold Hotel" programme and would like to visit Udaipour so will have to identify a tour which visits this city. Maybe JY will have another India holiday in the new brochure.

Regards

Lesley

Hi Lesley,

When I did the Spirit of India they did not do the add-on to Amritsar, so I am going there, along with Shimla, Dharamsala, Pragpur, Delhi and 2 tiger reserves.

I have also been to Kolkata, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Darjeeling and the Corbett Tiger Reserve. The company I now go with is not a single traveller company but has a brochure dedicated to India (their initials are JV!) and you can do lots of add-ons to their holidays. They do do Udaipur! When I went to Kerala with JY, the trip was so short that myself and a friend did our own 3 day add-on to Mumbai (which Travelsphere do, but not JY!). I very much doubt if JY will add any other tours to other regions of India, but you never know!

Enjoy!

Cheers,

Hils

Hi again Hils

I have a brochure for the company you mention and they certainly have a wide range of holidays to India. I too would love to see Amritsar and Shimla. I agree about Kerala trip and I would have liked to spend longer in Mumbai.

Have a great holiday and maybe our paths will cross in India.

Regards
