I am thinking of going to Cuba some time soon. Can anyone tell me which mobile phone networks work there, and if wifj, free or otherwise, is available.

I went to Cuba in March this year. Cannot remember the networks but what I will say is Cuba is not very advanced and telecommunications is poor. They still rely on dial up which takes forever and doesn't come cheap. As for wifi, forget it !!
