Another newbie here, just confirmed my 1st JY holiday. Off to Punta Umbria on the Costa De La Luz 7th Oct.

Really looking forward to it, it looks fab! Anybody else on the forum going, anybody flying, like me, from Edinburgh?

I'm guessing as the only reply I've had was from Bosuncat (thanks loads for that, Bosuncut, as a first-timer, it meant a lot to at least get a reply) that no-one else on the forum is going.

Ah well.... disappointing, but simply have to be patient and wait & see. Think there are still only 16 of us going so maybe more will book soon and some have a wee look here.

As Bosuncat said, not everyone who book a holiday with Just You use the forum. You will be fine and have a wonderful time. When you come back you will want to book another holiday!

Looking at the Montenegro trip already for next year. Just waiting for the brochure.

When does the new brochure usually arrive? Do the destinations change much from year to year?

I'm going to jump in and reply to this one...

Montenegro is a new destination for Just You in 2015 so it is not yet on the website but will be soon!

The new brochure is out in the middle of September, if you would like me to check that you are on our mailing list (or add you), if you can drop me an email with your full postal address to jmorton@justyou.co.uk, I can make sure you receive a copy.

In terms of destinations - Some holidays you'll see for a few years running as these are our popular tours and whilst there is demand, we'll keep operating them. However, our chief Holiday Creator checks the Just You Community often and listens to where our members want to travel. He and the rest of his team of holiday creators then look in to accommodating those requests in future holidays. If I've counted correctly there are 22 new tours in the upcoming Just You brochure.

I know, Bosuncut, you said even with 40 on your trip, you've had no replies, & Jaya, you said not many people holidaying with J Y seem to use the forum.

I booked on online, but I wonder, when booking by phone is the forum mentioned to people?

It really depends on who you speak to on the phone - some of our holiday advisors will encourage travellers to visit the forum to see what other travellers are saying and to join the conversation. I would love it if more travellers to used the Community.

We are currently reviewing all of our communications and looking at how the Community can be promoted more to travellers. I am aware that a mailing has been sent out to our database which includes some of the customer reviews and comments from right here the community to go along with the tours we operate - this includes a 'How to register' section in the front so hopefully travellers will see this and join too.

As I'm flying from Edinburgh I was drawn to an article in today's paper about possible detours at the airport.

It seems pilots are being asked to fly a wee bit higher so as not to stress out Tian Tian, the giant panda in her last week of pregnancy. Now that I don't mind a detour for

There are 21 of you confirmed to travel. I happened to notice that there were quite a few last minute bookings over the weekend for holidays departing in September so if this trend continues, it's possible that this will increase further before you travel in October.

I tried to book onto this trip today but I've left it too late. It's now 'on request' which means they need to check if there are still seats available and if there's a supplement for booking late. I had hoped to fly from Glasgow but JY have now given back the seats to Jet2 so I would have to fly down to Gatwick at a cost of £200+. Very frustrating as I can still book myself onto the original Jet2 flight direct from Glasgow to Faro for not much more. Ah well, my own fault for leaving it too late. Maybe next year.
