Hi, I have just joined for the first time and can't find a link for the above tour so thought I would ask if anyone out there is also going from manchester on this tour on the 7th sept? Not really used forums before so not sure if I just missed it??

This is my first tour holiday and having read the tips pages and info about it, am really looking forward to going. They seem to have answered all my questions that I had, it was really useful. Not looking forward to the jabs though!

Thought it would be good to say hi and get to know some of you before we set off so please get in touch if you want to.

Thanks

Linzi 🙂

Hi Linzi

Yes, I'm signed up for this trip! This will be my 4th holiday with JustYou, having previously done Egypt, India and Argentina/Brazil. I flew from Manchester on all the previous trips, but only to connect to the main group elsewhere, so this one will be a little bit different for me, given that everybody will be starting from Manchester. So much easier for those of us based in the northwest!

There's really not very long to go now, is there? Only about 6 or 7 weeks. I'm sure we'll all have a great time, and I'll bet this will be the first of many JustYou holidays for you.

Regards

Dave

I am booked on this trip. I have been to Cuba South Africa Vietnam and all were wonderful holidays and everyone so friendly. We are all nervous to start with being on our own but it is the best thing I did. Look forward to seeing you at the airport. Tricia

Just days ahead of me, then... I guess I'll be trailing in your wake!

Let's hope both tours go well :)

Hope you're well

Dave

Hi Dave

Well they must be good holidays if this is your 4th one!! I must admit that they sound really well organised and well thought out.

I have travelled alone before to America and Spain so I'm not a nervous traveller but found the only thing missing was people to share an evening meal with at leisure, that's not the same on your own lol.

Yes I must say am pleased we fly straight from manchester, it's such a faff trying to connect at heathrow instead.

I have had all my jabs now, which weren't half as bad as I was expecting them to be, just had a stiff arm for a couple of days but no side effects.

Looking forward to it now, here's hoping we all have a great holiday 🙂

Hi Tricia

Sounds like you've had some good times, let's hope this holiday is a good as those!

Am really looking forward to it now, only got 6 weeks to go so I bet it will be here before we know it.

Got everything sorted I think apart from currency, but I think I am taking dollars and sterling and changing it there, going by the comments left from previous travellers.

It sounds like the only things we will need to pay for are the drinks and the tips, then just whatever you choose to buy out there. ( which will be a lot judging by my usual shopping experiences, I get a bit carried away lol)

Am not nervous about it yet, but they might kick in nearer the time. Am just excited to go now.

See you soon, I'm sure we will have a fabulous time

Hi Anita

Nice to meet you. This is my first time to china as well and I agree it sounds amazing! Can't wait to go now, am counting down the weeks. Am having a quiet week away on the east coast this week to relax in the sun as I don't think we will get much relaxing done in china, it sounds full on every day lol.

What a great blog I cannot wait to go on 7th Sep. Is it easy to get local money out there with my cards or should I take lots of cash with me.? Tricia

Hi Tricia, every where we stayed you could get money either in the hotel or within a few minutes walk. I took £500 & had money over. You can use your credit cards in the factory outlets you go to. One bit of advice we had early on was to barter for everything. We were told in the fake shops not to pay more than 30%, it worked for me.

Hi Alan

Thanks for the link, it was a great insight into the holiday. Sounds like you had a great time!

Can you tell me what the average start time of the daily tours were. Was there a lot of 6.30am starts or were some more reasonable like 9 am??

Am not a morning person lol
