I did this fantastic trip last year, and of all my 10 JY tours, this was the best!
My tips mostly regard food and hygiene! I went "vegetarian" on this holiday - much as I love meat - and I did not have any problems at all! Avoid salads, ice-cream, ice etc. - even in the 5 star hotels. It is vital to use anti-bacterial gel at all times! Imodium and rehydration salts are also a must to take with you. My favourite places were the Taj Mahal at sunrise - nothing can compare it, it was the most beautiful building I have ever seen. Also, we saw tigers on all 3 game drives (I did the extra game drive rather than the camel ride to the local village, which most people didn't rate), and also dawn on The Ganges - awesome! Needless to say, if you are a photographer, you will need a lot of memory cards! I also took a daily probiotic pill, which may or may not have helped in the stomach department!
