I'm off on this tour on the 4th September - quite by chance I have been watching a series on the Discovery Science channel called "China's Man-Made Marvels"
So far I seen one episode on the restoration of the Leshan Giant Buddha and another on the iconic buildings of Shanghai.
I recommend anyone who is going on this trip try and watch these programs as they will certainly whet your appetite.
The programs are a few years old so you can see how the projects have progressed when you visit the sites yourself.
