Was really looking forward to booking this for early next year, but when I rang it appears the flight leaves Heathrow at 6.20 am and returns 20.10 pm. This would mean both overnight stays there and back in Heathrow plus £139 flights to Heathrow and back from Belfast. Th s unfortunately all adds to the cost of the holiday . I will have to go back to the drawing board and rethink where I will go now that will not incur overnight stays in heathrow or does anyone know the price of a cheap hotel in heathrow.:s:s

Hi Anita,

That would be a terrible shame for you not to do this wonderful holiday - I've booked for 10 March and I can't wait! I have to fly from Belfast too (I'm travelling up from Wexford) and stay overnight at Heathrow and do the same on the way back. It adds a bit to the cost of the holiday, but to be honest if I'm going to spend £3,300 on a holiday that I really want to do another £100 or two really won't make much difference at that stage! It would really be a pity not to do the holiday for the sake of a hundred quid or so! I hope you reconsider as it would be lovely to meet you and to know someone else on the trip before I go.

All the best,

Bob

Hi,

Premier Inn at Heathrow is excellent, and very affordable. I did the Costa Rica trip a few years ago, and it is fabulous. Book it!

Cheers,

Hi again, following on from Hils post (hi Hils!!) I meant to say that I hear great reports about the Premier Inn on Bath Road and I intend to book it for my Costa Rica holiday and other hols where I have to fly early from Heathrow (I understand there is another Premier Inn near Gatwick as well). I stayed at the Comfort Inn before the Vietnam tour and although it was cheap, there were problems with the air-con. Seemingly the Premier Inn is very cheap and comfortable.

Cheers,

Bob

I agree- if you're going to spend all that money then an extra hundred or so is not going to make much of a difference.

Costs Rica looks amazing and to quote Bob- Nicaragua was voted number 1 i upcoming destinations by wanderlust.

|I guess when you look at it like that a few hundred pounds more is not a lot when you are spending that amount of money on a holiday. I have just completed my third holiday this year and will be spending a month in Perth in November with my son so am saving all the pennies.

I will have a look at the Premier Inn website to check out the prices. As the flight leaves at 6.20p means we have to be there 3 hours prior so not much sleep to be got that night lol!! D oes the hotel have a shuttle bus that early as some hotels only operate from 5am

My daughter was in Costa Rica a few years ago and loved it. She is going back again at the end of January with her boyfriend.

Thanks again for your reply and thanks Hils for prompting me to book it.

Take care for now!!

Hi Anita

I agree it all adds up though if I really wanted that holiday then I wouldn't worry too much about the flight times, there are loads of hotels near heathrow and most offer free shuttle services, you could always go down as late as poss and hang out at the airport with it being such an early flight but I would def book the premier inn get an early night and a few hours rest you can catch up later, you could even meet up with bob in Belfast

regards

Dave
