Hi.

I am going on my first holiday to Istanbul. Do I take Turkish Lira, Euros or Sterling?

Will there be time over the weekend to have the experience of a Turkish Bath and which one should I choose?

Really looking forward to going, it has been on my must do list for years.

:-)

Hi Betty,

I am going on this trip too; also looking forward to it! Not been to Istanbul before but I have been to Turkey and I'd suggest taking Turkish Lira for day to day stuff. It's also worth noting that plastic is widely accepted in restaurants etc.. However, as the holiday info says, you need a crisp, new £10 note for the visa and additional Sterling if you want to pay for any JY excursions.

Hello Pete

I have just returned and I mostly used sterling occassionaly you need some Turkish lira in some restaurants. They accept cards in a lot of places even in the markets.

I didnt see any Turkish baths. There must be some you may have to go searching.
