Welcome. I've never done Turkey, but JY holiday are always excellent not matter the destination you want to go to. You'll never be "alone" on a JY trip.

Turkey is a fascinating country with the contrast between Asian and European cultures. Highlight for me was the Grand Bazaar in Instanbul - straight out of Arabian Nights!. What can you expect?; I have just booked my 9th JY holiday and they have all been excellent and well arranged. Everyone else in the group will also be on their own and mix well. You will have a good choice of included and oprional outings so you can do as much or as little as you want.

Go for it, you will not be disappointed.

I went to Turkey all inclusive last year. You dipped in and out of the trips that were available. Ephesus was awe inspiring. The hotel wasn't brilliant but I see that J Y are going to another hotel this year.

As this is your first tour I would suggest perhaps a fully escorted tour would be better. You will get to know more people then. I was worried that I would be on my own dining on the AI holiday but everything was fine as there was an allocated table for JY.

Take the plunge. You won't regret it. My fellow travellers have been very friendly on the tours that I have been on (my fourth to Cilento Coast in June) as are the people on this forum,
