:)Has anyone been on America's Golden West holiday, I'd like some feed back please, your likes or dislikes? Were you given advice on where to eat for your evening meals and did you manage to have others join you? Did you feel it was worth the cost? Were you able to go to the Grand Canyon & walk to it, as well as flying over it? Hope someone replies as I'd like to book this for next year, maybe flying from Manchester, has anyone already booked this for next year? I'm a female over 65 yrs old. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Hi, I have booked for America's Golden West for April next year, this is my first JY holiday, I am a 69 widow two of my single friends have also booked. Also their first time with JY. Looking at the Forum it looks to be a very popular holiday, I have picked up quite a bit of information reading through the forum, I know people who have stayed in the hotel in Las Vegas, think it wonderful. I will be flying from Manchester to Heathrow. If you decide to book, perhaps we can swap notes on what we have learned about the trip.

Hi folks, I did this holiday nearly two years ago and I know it is one of JY's most popular tours. I absolutely loved it! It was great from start to finish and it was my first ever long haul holiday and gave me the confidence to book more (I've done South Africa/Zambia, India and South America since!!). San Francisco is wonderful and is now my favourite city. We had the brilliant Anne Murray as our tour manager; the best I've ever come across. She gave us plenty of suggestions as to where to eat and she never disappointed! I never ate by myself and it was easy to hook up with others throughout the tour. It was a very good value holiday considering all that we did and saw. I also loved Vegas (I didn't think I would!). The Grand Canyon excursion is expensive, but a once in a lifetime opportunity. I went for the "ultimate" tour - flight in a small plane from Vegas, over the Hoover Dam to the South Rim, helicopter ride to the bottom, short boat trip, helicopter ride back up, coach ride to the native reservation and Skywalk lookout points. A brilliant trip and plenty of time to take great photos. Any more questions, feel free to ask!

Cheers,

Bob

I've just booked for 2nd Sept. flying from Manchester via Atlanta to San Francisco, do let me know how you get on, as I'm a 66 widow going on my own, is about my 7th Just You holiday, so I must enjoy them! My last one (in June), was to Moscow & St Petersburg, fantastic. You'll enjoy a just you holiday, everyone is very friendly.

Some great advice here, I have booked for 2nd Sept, flying from Manchester via Atlanta to San Fran. Will certainly do all you did on the Grand Canyon Exc'n, as you say it's once in a life-time! What were the hotels like? Any advice on what happened on the many coach journeys between hotels?
