So I thought I'd take the plunge and see if anyone was planning on visiting "The Rock" on the May departure?

Hi, I'm going on this trip in May '13. I have booked the trip to aclatraz. I asked which day was best to book and was told on the 3rd day so i have booked to go at 1pm on the 15th.I was told to book through this site so i did as it was recommended: www.alcatrazislandtickets.com

I did this trip three years ago by the way, but missed out on getting over to Alcatraz thanks to the return of a certain volcanic ash cloud which delayed my outbound flight from the UK, and therefore shortened my time in San Francsisco.

Thta would be great if you came along too. looking forward to meeting you. Which airports are you flying from? I am leaving from Heathrow. Jo

Having read all the T's & C's regarding a visit to Alcatraz, I'm beginning to wonder if it's actually harder to get over there, than it would have been to escape from!

I've bought my ticket (13:00 on May 15th)! I've just received two Emails, the latter of which contained my confirmation number. Apparently their e-ticketing system is down at the moment, so I need to produce that Email with my passport and the card I used to make the payment at the pre-paid / "will call" window at the ticket office on Pier 33.

have got my ticket as well still dont understand why they need photo id its not as if i'm baking a cake with a hacksaw in, maybe its the staff who are hoping to escape?
