Hey! I am thinking of doing the magic of kenya tour next year and was wondering if anyone has done this tour and would know when the best time to go to kenya is?

Thanks

Hi Sarah,

I did this in Sep/Oct (last year) and the weather was great, hot enough to get a tan, but not too hot, it does get hotter at the coast, but on safari I found it OK, if you enter kenya into the search engine you should find a lot of interesting and helpful posts about this holiday.

Good luck

Hello Sarah

Welcome to JY I have been on 8 tours now, and I have been on the Magic of Kenya, I went in Late Sept/early Oct and the weather was lovely and hot. I also did the add on at the 2nd hotel which was well worth it for the money, had a great time on this tour, the animals were amazing, If you pick this tour you will have a great holiday.

If you need to know more just ask away.

Hi there or Jambo :)

I did Magic of Kenya this June and it was amazing it was my first JY holiday, June is their spring time but some of our hottest days in the uk for summer we were a group of 18 and by the 2nd day for the rest of the 10 days were in shorts lol, very good to get a tan but dont go made I wouldnt of wanted to go any other time we would of found it too hot proberly max of sept oct but dec and jan is the hottest time of the year. on the 2nd part of the holiday buy any water or alochol from the big supermarket just down the road from the hotel its alot cheap :)

Everyone was soooooooooo nice and made it a great wonderful memory. I really recommend this holiday and cant stop talking about it. I have about 1300 pics and cant delete any of them they are amazing as the animals come so close to the vans.

Im about to book my 2nd holiday to China as it was such a good holiday

Hope this helps. Enjoy

Hi Sarah

I went to Kenya in June as well and the weather was great, I love that time of year anyway as its not too hot and other than one down

pour it did not rain at all. Its great fun especially the safari and spot one of the more unusual animals. We were lucky we got to see most of them and had a good driver in James and leader in Barbara. There was a great group of people and not to many so everyone got to know each other. I say go which is something as I was extremely nervous as it was my first trip alone and I nearly pulled out even on the day itself. I am going to Canada next year.

Hi

I went earlier this year in March, it was my frst JY holiday, it was great. Had always wanted to do a safari and wasn't disappointed. Hotels and food all good. March was hot but but not unbearable. They say Apr to June is rainy season but they don't seem to have any rain! I think anytime is good, just weather you prefer a bit cooler or not but doesn't seem that can go wrong whenever....enjoy!
