Just remember most people are very nervus before their first solo trip, believe me the nerves don't last and you'll have a fantastic holiday. Don't go through life wondering, its only a week or two out of your life, what can go wrong.

Hello

Hve a look at the video clips on here one is from me (nixon) and the other is a lady called Lovely Lesley, it might give you an idea of things. I have just returned from my 8th JY tour so if you want to pick my brains feel free. What I would syay is pick a holiday you really want to go on and then BOOK IT!!!! honest it is that easy, they are great fun, fantastic sights to be seen, and people to meet.. age range can be anything fron late 20's to 80's Ladies outnumber the Men. Very safe way to travel. Just all round good fun.

Hi, The first time I booked a Just You holiday,I choose just a weeks trip,in Europe and booked the holiday with the easiest airport and flight times,That way there were no added stresses. Next trip I booked was China !! That say's is all really.Go on book it or else you will always wonder.Good luck.

HI Cindy. I've just registered on here to see how people find these singles holidays. You obviously like them as you've been on 8. I'm very nervous and apprehensive to be honest and I think it's mainly due to my mother's experiences 30 years ago. She said that she met one or two odd people who she found hard to shake off so to speak although admittedly she did meet some nice people. Do you always get your own room? If you go on a relaxing beech type holiday, do they still have the odd excursion going if you wish to join in or are you left to your own devices?

I was just wondering what happens on the relaxing beech holidays as opposed to the tours in relation to being left to your own devices or are there Just You staff on hand to help out here and there. Would there be a choice of excursions and activities on offer just to get people involved if they wanted to?

HI Anjukdi

I remember being so nervous that I could have walked out of the airport lounge. I cured myself, I reasoned that I could be miserable at home and not see any of the world or I could be miserable on holiday whilst seeing the world and there was a chance that I would enjoy it. Well I didnt enjoy it I loved it. You dont have to be outgoing and out there, you can be yourself and you will gravitate towards like minded people. Everyone is in the same boat and nervous, but by my reasoning you have nothing to lose.

go for it!!

Hi Mark

I have been on 2 Just You holidays and have two more booked for this year and I can assure you that I have not come across any 'odd' people on Just You holidays. Everyone is very friendly and it is up to you as to whether or not you want to spend time with people or be left on your own - no one forces you to do anything. Most excursions are included in the holiday and again it is up to you whether or not you wish to go on these trips. All I would say is stop being nervous, pick a destination you always wanted to visit, pick up the phone and book it. This is what I did the first time I went on my own. A tour manager accompanies the trip and is always willing to help. Life is too short to worry about little things - go ahead, book a holiday and have fun.

I can understand what you are saying..there of course has been an ODD person !!! on a couple of trips but you learn to steer clear of them with out being rude of course. Of course you get your own room the only exception I think is the Kenya safari I went on where you have to share a room with another on the safari part, but at the 2nd hotel back to room on your own. The tour I have just come back from in one room I had two double beds and a single so BIG ROOMS.....I have never been in a grotty small room nearly always double room for 1 person. The tours I go on are the all touring type with lots to see and do. I would suggest that you have a good read up on the information re beech style and see what it say's or ring the office as sometimes they have more info re optional tours etc, I am sure they can help with this question, or if there is one you fancy post a thread asking advice from people who have been on it before. I hope you give it a go..I love to travel and see the world and this is a very safe way for me to do this. I have seen some amazing countries and I have made some very good friends from travelling this way. I have spent some great hour and times with people much older and younger than myself. Great times to be had..embrace life and enjoy.

Don't be nervous! Everyone will be friendly and approachable and you'll probably find you'll be enjoying yourself so much that you won't have a moment to feel scared!

Thanks very much Jaya and Cindy for your replies to my posts.

I shall have a good look around at the holidays this site offers and hopefully book one soon. Maybe it would be a good idea to book a tour. I'd like to go somewhere warm when it's winter here just to have a break from the cold to be honest.

Thank to everyone that replied to my "Very Nervous" thread. I think I will book a starter weekend and if I feel confident after that, I will venture further. Thank you again to everyone who replied. Take care. Anjukdi:thumbup:

I was so nervous before my first Just You holiday that I decided the night before to drop out. A good friend happened to ring me and talked me out of it and I am so very glad she did. Going on that first holiday is the best thing I ever did. You will get on great. Everyone is really friendly and the reps are great. Just go for it. You will not regret it and it will open up so many future holidays and new friends. I bet you will come back from your first holiday thoroughy adicted.
