First of all welcome to JY, I will be shortly taking my 8th JY holiday so if you have any questions please feel free to ask. When I started useing JY 5 years ago there was not the oppertunity to do a weekend discovery break. My first tour was to the USA, I just went for it. I am sure the weekends work for some people to give them the confidence to go for a main tour. I know of a couple of people that have done weekends and then straight away booked a mian tour. This is my opinion you of course need to have your own I would find a tour you like and then book it, as to me I know I would spend money on a weekend and then book a main holiday so spending two lots of money. Every group is different, so no matter what you do it will not be the same each time.

Just remember, most of the group are on the holiday because they want to travel alone without the single supliment. Enjoy yourself and make friends during the trip
