Hi

I am enquiring as to the age range. I am 36 and my friends are all married with children. I dont want to go to on a holiday that is centred around children I want to tour, obviously not alone but with like minded people around my age group.

:)

You would be at the younger end on a JY holiday, the main age range is 50's & 60's.

Saying that there are others either side of that on the 4 trips I've done so far the youngest as been in their 20's on 2 trips and mid 30's on the other two.

I must say I havent seen age been a issue on any of the trips everyone seems to get on great. If you are worried I suggest before you book you use the "ask the editor" section of this forum to ask age range of those booked on any specifc holiday.

Welcome to you

I was 48 when I started to travel with JY. I do not see the age of every one as a problem I think it's really good to travel with a wide age range. I would say you would be in the younger age range. as Mick said try and post on the editor board for age range on a certain tour, or ring the office and see if they can give you an idea. If you like to travel and tour around and can talk to people just book it...I am sure you will have fun. I shall soon be going on my 8th JY tour.

I have done 3 short haul holidays all have been excellent.. Austrian Lakes really nice tour. Tuscanny a very good tour, and Poland and the Tatra Mountains. which again was very good. I can recommend all of these to you.

If I can help with anything more please just ask away.

I'm in the same boat at 37. I'm also someone who likes touring and learning about where I am. Going to take the plunge with JY this year, just can't decide which one to do! Everyone on here just encourages you to do it, so we really should take the advice. I'm going to!
