Iam thinking of doing this tour next May, not quite made up my mind yet.

I hav been of several JU holidays, went to China with them in June.

Hi everyone, I've not done any of these holidays yet but really want to book route 66 for next year. I don't like it too cold or too hot, so I was wondering if anyone knew the best time of year to book the trip for? and also is anyone from the north west thinking of doing this trip. I would be travelling from Liverpool. Thank you Suzy

Hi there! Is it Kathy? Thank you for your reply. Where are you hoping to travel from? I'm not used to this site yet, so surprised to see i actually managed to get a comment up there 🙂 I was also thinking next summer, but not too sure about the best time weather wise. Also still a bit apprehensive about booking and not knowing anyone, as it will be my fist solo holiday, but I suppose I have to take the plunge sometime. Have you been on these holidays before? It would be nice to know someone else from the North West also going, it may give me some dutch courage :rolleyes: Anyway thank you for your reply. Suzy Liverpool

Might go down the day before and stay in a heathrow hotel so I don't have to get up so early. It will be my first trip too but I'm looking forward to the experience.

Hi Paul, Thank you for the reply. Do you mean October this month or next year? Do you know if October is the best time of year to go, weather wise? I am already planning a family trip next October, so I was thinking about May next year. Sounds like a good idea to stay in a Heathrow hotel the day before, no chance of missing the flight that way 🙂 If you're going this month, do please let me know how you find it. Yes - we finally have Route 66 on offer for next year. Thank you Just You.

So - I will be 'getting my kicks on Route 66' on the 3rd September trip. I have always wanted to do this (since I was a teenager) and now I can. I know that this should be on a Harley, but will settle for a Just You coach.

I will have my birthday during the trip, so if anyone wants to help me celebrate, please feel free to join me.......

I'm not too sure when is the best time to go really. I'm going in October because it fits in perfectly with my shifts at work. I'm having a total of 19 days off work but only 10 of them will be holidays.

Staying at Heathrow the night before will save me getting up very early on the day of travel and therefore arriving in Chicago awake and not half asleep.

Hope you can book this trip at sometime through the year. It will be my first JY holiday but a special 1 too.

Hi I'm also thinking of Route 66 next year but have not decided on a date yet, this will be first holiday with Just you so need to consider options carefully!!!. I'll be travelling from Manchester.

I too will be travelling from Manchester but as I said in an earlier post I think staying over the night before at Heathrow is a good idea. I'm booked on the October 8th 2012 tour.
