I did this tour in October time and it was VERY hot and VERY humid, I would say late 70's early 80's in heat. The humidity was quite draining, but just have a snooze in the shade and that revived me!!. Water is not dear, in the the hotels it is provided in bottles and there is a fridge (this is the 2nd hotel) so you could always buy a large water and de cant into smaller bottle to carry around. The food and alcohol drinks were not that bad a price. In the 2nd hotel I did jon some ladies and eat in the Italian and Indian Restraunte that is within the hotel BOTH very nice meals not bad prices this was because the repitition of the buffet can get a bit boring, even more so for me as I dont eat meat, so that made a change.
Regarding gifts etc, there is an awfull amount of wood carvings animals plated masks etc, which are not my cup of tea, I only bought a basic set of wooden animals for grandaughter from when we visited a wood making warehouse, and a chine plate with an elephant on. There is not a great deal to buy. The meals around the pool are not to much for a toasted sarnie and chips..or salad that sort of thing.
I did not find this to be a to expensive holiday regarding money while away, as my main aim was to see the animals in the wild.If you eat a good breakfast and tea then you should not have to spend to much on lunchtime food. You will have a great time I know I did.
