Hello Teresa

I am not on this trip but I went on the trip last October and what a great tour it is. The animals were just amazing, loved it to see them in the wild. I also did the add on which was really nice to just laze around in the HOT!!! sunny weather. I fantastic holiday and great bunch of people and very well worth going on, and If you can I would think about doing the add on time well worth it.

If there are any questions just ask and pick my brain.OK.

I have done 7 JY tours with NZ booked for 2012.

I did this tour in October time and it was VERY hot and VERY humid, I would say late 70's early 80's in heat. The humidity was quite draining, but just have a snooze in the shade and that revived me!!. Water is not dear, in the the hotels it is provided in bottles and there is a fridge (this is the 2nd hotel) so you could always buy a large water and de cant into smaller bottle to carry around. The food and alcohol drinks were not that bad a price. In the 2nd hotel I did jon some ladies and eat in the Italian and Indian Restraunte that is within the hotel BOTH very nice meals not bad prices this was because the repitition of the buffet can get a bit boring, even more so for me as I dont eat meat, so that made a change.

Regarding gifts etc, there is an awfull amount of wood carvings animals plated masks etc, which are not my cup of tea, I only bought a basic set of wooden animals for grandaughter from when we visited a wood making warehouse, and a chine plate with an elephant on. There is not a great deal to buy. The meals around the pool are not to much for a toasted sarnie and chips..or salad that sort of thing.

I did not find this to be a to expensive holiday regarding money while away, as my main aim was to see the animals in the wild.If you eat a good breakfast and tea then you should not have to spend to much on lunchtime food. You will have a great time I know I did.

Hi Darren,

if you put Kenya into the search engine, I recently went on this trip and hopefully I have posted some good advice for people doing this trip, I have to agree with things Cindy says it is cheaper than you think, it is fantastic and to see the animlas without being behind a fence is great, just imagine if you can, 3 lions sitting by the roadside no more than 30 feet away from you with nothing to stop them getting at you, it happened to me and it could happen to you.

Need anything else, get in touch.

regards,

Martin
